Custom Cabinet Maker Job Description For Elite Cabinetry NH Brands

Reports To: Owner- Andy Sutherland
FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt 
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Flexibility is highly desired)  
Salary/ Hourly Rate: $18-$30/Hour (Depending on prior experience and skills)
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have the following qualifications. Please only apply if the following applies to you:

•Experienced with woodworking equipment such as panel saws, table saws, face frame machines, edge-banding machines, sanders, routers, and various hand tools.
•Read plans and specifications, make cut lists, check the accuracy, think creatively, and share ideas that are appropriate to the project.
•Able to set up all machines safely and efficiently. Able to do minor repairs and maintenance of machines and blade changes as needed.
•Able to build high-quality custom cabinetry in a timely fashion. Familiar with traditional joinery and able to produce it at a semi-production pace.
•Attuned to the shop's quality standards and confident to stop a sub-standard piece in production and bring it to the attention of the Shop Foreman.
•Dependability is a must.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to safety on the job site.
 
JOB SUMMARY: The custom cabinet maker builds unique, custom cabinetry by reading the detailed specifications of a blueprint. Must be able to use basic hand and power tools. Must be a reliable, self-starter and able to problem solve independently. The qualified candidate will have impeccable customer service skills, and be detail orientated. Also, can stay on task, be honest and make deadlines without comprising quality.  Previous experience is highly preferred as day-to-day tasks can change or alter from week to week.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., run power tools, bend, kneel, squat, and reach below the knee, and overhead frequently. Must also be able to stop, turn, stand, walk, twist, push, and pull repeatedly.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
•2+ years of custom cabinetry building experience is highly desired.
•Must have a working knowledge of both hand-held power tools, as well as industrial saws, and shapers.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
•High School/GED or Trade School certification is highly preferred.
•Must provide two relevant work references.
