JOB REQUIREMENTS:

DELIVERY - Unless delivery is done via a separate, coordinated system, you will have to collect the flat-packed units from the Business site (Elite Cabinetry NH -Milford, NH factory), load them into a van, and deliver them to the site. On-site, you will need to unload the packs. You will usually unload a few at a time, rather than all at once, to leave yourself room to work.

ASSEMBLY - A key part of a cabinet installer’s job is installing the cabinets on site. Carefully unpacking the assembled pieces and identifying the components is the starting point. Ensuring you do not lose any components is vital. Assembly instructions are often illustration-based rather than text-based. You need to be able to decipher the pictures and follow step-by-step instructions. You need to be able to use simple tools, such as a screwdriver, tape measure, and hammer.  All tools and equipment that are necessary to install cabinets will be provided by Elite Cabinetry NH, as well as transportation for delivery.

INSTALLATION - The incumbent will need to take into account existing fixtures and fittings and either remove them or work around them. Skirting boards usually need to be removed. Mains power points usually need to be worked around. You need to be able to drill holes accurately and safely in walls, to provide anchor points for the assembled cabinets. Working with a partner, you need to be able to hold carcasses against the wall and fix them in place. You will then need to fit doors. You may also be called upon to fit worktops. You may also have to fix decorative and functional embellishments, such as plinths, cornices, and under-cabinet lighting strips.  Multiple installation trips may be necessary depending on the project and many times need to be adjusted slightly before it is "fully" installed.
